Ingredients
Main Ingredient: One pill contains 96.1 mg of
Pyritinol. Excipients: Talc, lactose, cellulose, titanium dioxide, calcium
carbonate, precipitate silica, polyvinyl pirrolidone, glycerol, magnesium
stearate, polymers of methacrylate (Eudragit), sodium carboxymethyl cellulose,
methyl cellulose, magnesium oxide, stearic acid, white wax, sucrose.

CERBON is Recommended in the Treatment of
Organic cerebral lesions arising from
cranioencephalic trauma, post-infectious and toxic alterations, cerebral
involutions brought about by old age; delays in the mental development of
children.
Caution
In children with erethismic conditions, a very
high dosage may prompt an undesirable state of excitability. In such cases a
lowered dosage will be necessary. During CERBON treatment, children suffering
from epilepsy will require periodic electroencephalographic examinations. To
prevent sleep disorders, the final daily (late afternoon or evening) dose should
not be administered. This product should not be used by either pregnant women or
those women who believe they may be.
Interactions
Association with other psychopharmaceutical
products requires particular caution and supervision by the doctor so as to
avoid unexpected and unpleasant side effects.
Directions For Use
ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS: One pill or 5 ml of
syrup, three times daily.
CHILDREN: 2.5 to 5 ml of syrup 1-3 times per day,
or 1-2 pills per day, according to age.
Pills should not be chewed but rather swallowed
with a little liquid. Since positive results will not be seen until after 1-2
weeks of treatment and because an observation period is necessary, it is
recommended that treatment not be prematurely interrupted or suspended. In the
treatment of elderly patients, the dosage should be carefully established by the
doctor who should decide if a lowering of the above mentioned dosage is in
order.
CERBON syrup comes with a measurer which
indicates one dose (5 ml - halfway to the top) and two doses (10 ml - filled to
the top). 5 ml contains 80.5 mg of Pyritinol = 100 mg of Pyritinol chlorhydrate
monohydrate = 1 CERBON pill.
